Wrestlicious Comedy Sketch Preview

Yes, Wrestlicious is a real show. We've all daydreamed about what we'd do if we won the lottery. In the case of Powerball winner Jay Vargas, winning $17 million means fulfilling his life-long dream of creating and starring in a wrestling-themed online comedy show called Wrestlicious.

In May, the 19-year-old Vargas became the youngest Powerball winner ever. He decided to use some of his winnings to start Wrestlicious, a comedy show that features himself, former wrestling manager Jimmy "The Mouth of the South" Hart, some female wrestlers, and a smattering of women in bikinis.

So how does Jay Vargas describe Wrestlicious?

"MAD TV + the WWE + Baywatch + Dave Chappelle = Wrestlicious,"

In reality, his show looks more like a blend of Hee Haw  and the G.L.O.W: The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Regardless, Vargas is confident there is audience for wrestling-based sketch comedy.

In addition to being the creator and visionary behind Wrestlicious, Jay Vargas is also one of its star performers. He plays J.V. Rich, a wealthy 21-year-old playboy who lives in a mansion filled with beautiful women in bikinis. In real life, Vargas is married with a child.

Vargas does seem committed to Wrestlicious. The South Carolina native has moved to Tampa so he can be closer to the many pro wrestlers who live in the area.

Vargas has posted clips of Wrestlicious on YouTube. He and Jimmy Hart hope to sell the program to TV executives. According to the Wrestlicious website, the show will be coming to TV screens sometime in the Fall of 2009. Whether or not that comes to fruition remains to be seen.

Here is the Wrestlicious MySpace page.
