Xavier Henry Press Conference

In a press conference on Wednesday April 7, Xavier Henry announced his decision to leave KU to enter the NBA draft. Xavier Henry was emotional when he announced his departure. "We had a lot of fun this year. I wouldn't trade it for anything," said Xavier Henry before breaking down in tears.

Xavier Henry, 19, is a freshman at Kansas. He stands 6-feet-6, plays shooting guard in the Kansas Jayhawks. He scored an average of 13.4 points and 4.4 rebounds. The Kansas Jayhawks finished 32-3 and was ranked number one for most of the year.

Xavier Henry was the second highest scorer in the Kansas Jayhawks.

His brother C.J. Henry was also present at the press conference. "I'm not here to discuss my situation, I'm just here to support Xavier," said C.J.

"I think the people that really knew me this would be a touch decision for me," said Xavier.

He ended the press conference saying, "Just being with my teammates, nothing flashy, nothing like standing on any tables. Just running through the tunnel with everyone screaming. Those will be my most memorable moments."

In Xavier's first and only season as a Jayhawk, he averaged 13.4 points and was named to the All-Big 12 Freshman team.
