Yao Ming and wife Ye Li are expecting their first baby due in July, as some reported. Yao Ming, the Houston Rockets star, married Ye Li back in August 2007. Ye Li (叶莉) was in the China Women's national basketball team in 2004 Olympics. Yao Ming is 7'6"- if you're wondering, "How tall is Yao Ming's Wife?", the answer is 6'2".

Yao Ming, 29, is not in NBA this season after a foot injury. He is now serving as a roving ambassador for Shanghai World Expo, and helping his old team the Shanghai Sharks.

Yao Ming stands 226 cm tall (7'6"), and, also as a basketball player, Ye Li stands 190 cm tall (6'2").

The English-language Shanghai Daily said the baby is due in July, citing comments by Ye's friend and former teammate on China's women's basketball team, Miao Lijie.

It quoted Zhang Chi, a spokesman for Yao, as confirming the news, but said he declined to give details.

Another Chinese news source reported that Ye Li is only one month pregnant, which means they will be expecting the baby next autumn, not summer.
