You Can't Score If You Don't Have The Puck

Friday night the Nanaimo Clippers and the Cowichan Valley Capitals met in the second home game for Nanaimo. The Clippers started out strong with two quick goals in the first couple of minutes of the game, following it up with a third in the first period. After that, the Capitals slowly fought back to win the victory in a second overtime period. Final score Capitals four, Clippers three.
Nanimo players had more shots on goal, but failed to capitalize on them and frequently lost the rebound to the Capitals. Cowichan managed to steal the puck during sloppy passes as well. The crowd support turned to groans as play after play the puck was turned over.
Nanaimo and Cowichan meet again tonight in Duncan. Let's hope they've found the winning formula for this game.
