Police in Iran are reported to have taken 14 squirrels into custody - because they are suspected of spying.

The rodents were found near the Iranian border allegedly equipped with eavesdropping devices.

The reports have come from the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

When asked about the confiscation of the spy squirrels, the national police chief said: "I have heard about it, but I do not have precise information."

Sky news once again shows itself a slave by pushing
propaganda to discredit Iran.
Sky news frames this story from a completely childish angle by leading
with the headline "..Squirrels arrested" and then goes on to say they
were taken into "..Custody". In fact, it was alleged that 14 squirrels
were confiscated because of suspicion of being used as a vehicle for spying
devices. This happens, nothing strange, no animals being driven off in
handcuffs - the impression sky news would want you to have.
