NP Rank:
Sri Lankans vanish from PEI, enjoy Montreal
Opinion
Barry Artiste, Now Public Contributor
In May 2007 Eleven Migrant workers from Sri Lanka got a free ticket to Canada, courtesy of their sponsor, a local PEI Mussel Farmer who paid $21,000.00 for their Visas.
Less than a month later and without a “Wet Kiss Goodbye”, the Local Mussel Farmer discovered one morning all eleven Sri Lankan’s had scurried off into the night, called a cab, and got the “Hell out of Dodge” arriving soon after to walk the streets of Montreal.
RCMP state the Eleven Sri Lankan's broke "No Canadian Laws !" Though there is concern.
Now I may not be a Big City Immigration Law Bureaucrat, but somehow the American Public Opinion of Canada is being continually validated daily by our media, when Americans continually state to our Government and Media that our non-existent and/or Lax Immigration Laws may one day be the bane of American Existence and Sovereignty on their fight against terrorism, of course they may be correct when stories like this keep hitting the media in what seems to be a daily occurrence.
My Final Thought
You know one US Commentator stated recently US Troops cannot find Bin Laden. Perhaps they are looking in the wrong country?
If and when these Group of Eleven are caught, will they face deportation? Oh Please, come on now, this is "Canada"! A rich country which offers the opportunities of endless immigration appeals at the taxpayer’s expense.
Will this PEI Mussel Farmer get to recoup his $21,000.00 he paid immigration Canada for their Immigration Visas and Free Plane Ride to Canada, not to mention his business losses and expenses from the Canadian Government? “Hello”!! “Wakey, Wakey”, This is Canada! Of course he won't see a Dime! Now don’t you feel foolish for asking?
To the RCMP. Mickey Mouse wants his Ears Back! Mickey wants Barney Fife to have them.
Footnote: I just realised something, how the hell did 11 Sri Lankans fit into one Cab?
I know in their Country, vivid images in the media show dozens and dozens of Sri Lankans hanging off the outside of speeding trains, buses etc. You would think they would be easy to spot, I mean how many cabs do you see barrelling down the highway in Canada with five or more Sri Lankans hanging on the outside of the cab? Not too many Cab drivers would allow that! Well maybe in Montreal where Drunken McGill Frat Boys must have done it. But PEI?
