It is a grand building, Stauffer, and has a large atrium as its entranceway that is punctuated with a helix staircase. This atrium poses something of a problem, despite its grandeur; it echoes. When sitting at any of the carrels on any of the floors you can often hear the coughs and chatter of those below- not to mention the frequent beeping of the magnetic detectors at the entrance.
