Steve Jobs Wishful Thinking on iPhones

I agree... whilst the iPhone gets lots of hype, there has been quite a bit of time between the announcement and the eventual launch. How many smartphone purchasers have already purchased a Blackberry, or one of the other WiFi-enabled handsets already on the market? Also, the idea that 45 million people
are willing to pay $500 and sign a new multi-year mobile-service contracct in order to become first adopters seems highly unlikely. Yeah, it'll be big, but not that big.
