COBBLERS boss Stuart Gray has urged Luke Chambers to stay at the club and continue his development.

And the Town manager has confirmed he scouted Chambers when he was at Wolves, and that there is a great deal of buzz in the game about the youngster.

The 21-year-old has been linked with plenty of clubs already this season, with Blackburn Rovers the latest name connected with the youngster, although no firm offers have been made.

Nottingham Forest had a six-figure bid for Chambers turned down before Christmas, and rumours have surfaced that Colin Calderwood is preparing a fresh bid for a player he rates highly.

But sources in Nottingham say that is not the case, and that Forest are worried about paying too much for players because of their stature.
