Stop Bush

The Stop-Bush Plakat close-up.On June 21st, 2006, George W. Bush visited Vienna (Austria) to meet with the current president of the EU-council, Austria's chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel. To protest current US politics, imperialism and especially the treatment of the prisoners in Guantanamo more than 20.000 people demostrated, chanting slogans like "Stop Bush", "Bush go home", "No Blood for Oil" and countless others. There was massive police presence and (luckily) - apart from one little incident where stupid people started to throw beer cans and stuff at the police - no violent encounters between the police forces and the demonstrating people.
