Storm Warning - Or Was It?

A strange occurence struck me last week. It was one of those moments of hindsight that suggest you should have recognized an omen in the works. Unfortunately the significance of the flock of migrating ersatz pink flamingos that landed in the Vancouver's West End a day before we were rocked by near-hurricane force winds was lost on me. Had it not been I would have secured my windows prior to leaving home... Judging by the surprise the winds caused around the 'hood... I must not have been the only one to miss the sign.
