Brisbane (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Navy`s tall ship, the KRI Arung
Samudra, which got stranded in bad weather in Wide Bay, Queensland,
Australia, on August 23, is to be towed to Brisbane port later this
week, an Indonesian official said.
"A survey (of the ship`s situation) is underway. But, of course,
weather conditions are decisive although they have begun to improve.
But we have to take account of so many factors that everything has been
held up, including the preparation of a team for the towing job. The
team will possbly be ready for action by Augsut 29 or 30," Col Eden
Gunawan, maritime attache at the Indonesian Embasssy in Canberra, said
when reached by phone on Monday.
