TruemorsMy monstrous basil plant, which I had to cut back 3 times this year and make pesto with. The temperatures have been falling here in the high desert of Arizona, so I brought it inside the house at the beginning of December. It prefers the warmth of the house now.

My basil plant in the house for the winter. I like to use fresh herbs when I prepare food.
The lamp above the plant has a standard 20W fluorescent bulb, which deliveres plenty UV light for photosynthesis.
