I expect HM the Queen said, "We are not amused" when twelve barrels of lager were delivered to the snooty residence of Her Majesty the Queen at posh Windsor Castle.  They should have been delivered to a pub of the same name.

It is not known if HRH Prince Harry might have ordered them.  A case of "roll out the barrel!"

Twelve barrels of lager destined for a pub called The Windsor Castle were delivered to the Queen's Berkshire residence by mistake.

A lorry carrying 2,000 pints, ready for England's football match with Croatia, turned up at the real Windsor Castle.

Royal staff had no record of the order and turned the delivery away.

They eventually made it to the pub of the same name, which is five miles away in Maidenhead, but they were three hours late.

Pub manager Misko Coric said: "We have received mail for the royal household here before but I think this is the first time they have received anything meant for us.

Thank you Jason!  I bet the lorry driver got all excited by the idea of meeting the Queen...or maybe not.

Christina 123, I like this story. It's good stuff.

The Queen may have ordered them after all, just had to deny it now since it has been made public, or could it have been Price Philip.

I think they are the Gin & Tonic brigade.  Perhaps it was ordered by one of the corgis turning to drink...
