Parents lose custody of Nazi-named children

A 3-year old boy named Adolf Hitler and his two sisters, also named for Nazi leaders, have been removed from their parents home by child protection services.  Officials from the New Jersey state Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) are looking into the psychological damage that may be done to the Nazi-named kids.

The Campbell family from Holland Township New Jersey first made headlines when a grocery store refused to make a custom birthday cake for their 3-year old son Adolf Hitler that said "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler."  The Campbell family asked that the grocery store show tolerance toward their young son.

The Campbell's have openly admitted to being White Supremacists but claim that they do not promote hate as part of their belief system.  The Campbell's claim they are not about hating other races but having pride in their own.

The names they gave their children, names that are historically synonymous with hate, suggest otherwise:

  • Adolf Hitler Campbell
  • JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell
  • Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell
Adolf Hitler Campbell and his sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, were taken from their Holland Township, N.J., home on Friday by the state's Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS), Sgt. John Harris of the Holland Township Police Department told FOXNews.com.

Their father, Heath Campbell, is expected in court Thursday in Flemington, N.J., in connection with the case.

Kate Bernyk, a spokeswoman for the DYFS, said confidentiality laws barred her from commenting on the case or even confirming that the Campbell children were involved.

I have to read more about this story but I have to admit that I was shocked to read that the kids had been taken away. That's quite a reaction.

I do agree with your post and I am glad that the kids are looked after. Giving a child the name of Adolf Hitler is some what pushing it and yes it would or could traumatize the child latter. However I have seen this before and not by white supremacist but in Africa by African tribes member, naming their Child Adolf... or Goring and this certainly not because they are white supremacist since they are coloured but because they have a profound admiration for those persons and do not see the crimes they have committed or fail to see them, but rather see what they have achieved by unifying a people and directing them into one direction. Some thing that many in Africa and even Asia do still today have great reverence for even though I rather they would not. Same in the Arab world person such as Hitler are still admired and respected. When ever I do point out to them that he would have persecuted them as well if he had been in the middle east or Africa or if they would have been living in Germany back then they usually do not see that part nor believe it. I fear that Hitler will end up a Hero same as Kitchener did in spite of being the inventor of the Concentration camps in South Africa in the war against the Burs or what he did in Sudan. Same for Napoleon that was shun by his own people for what he put them through and for what he did to Europe and yet today they glorify him. I would like to see all those war monger be taken of the hero list and the put the real story in the text books of the atrocities they committed.

There is too much intellectualizing on this topic.  The issue is not the people whose names were picked.  It is the health of the children.  I do not approve of "State Authority" having say over how free people live except in a few areas.  This is one.  Protect the Child.

And they claim freedom! What hypocricy! Taking children away from their parents! And the reasons get more and more absurd!

if you read closely enough, one of their daughters, Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie, is the same name as a leader of a CONCENTRATION CAMP. They are obviously unstable people to name their children such hateful names, and I strongly agree with taking them away. Two nazi supremacists is two too many in this world.
