ARMUCHEE, GA (AP

This is AP story so: A 6-legged spotted fawn found near Armuchee, Georgia, wounded by dog and treated by local vets.

There's actually a video and photo of the poor little thing on the same page of website. So you have to go see it, to see it.

Who knows what caused this birth defect. the poor little fawn cannot be released back into the wilderness, even if it recovers from the injuries.

Rene' this was sad, somewhere a mother is looking for it's baby.  They have wildlife refuge's that will take the baby.  It's had enough media exposure by now.  Great story:)

Vets who treated this little fawn are reluctant to release it. The abnormality was probably the result of incomplete twinning. Often birth defects are result of environmental pollution, but not always. Don't think the mother is looking for it tho. Maybe abandoned the misformed baby. Photos and videos are all over the web.

René, I like this story. It's good stuff.  Yeah, I love that we can use 4 words for free.. wow!  I now have an AP free blog.  I had a cabin in North Georgia.  I loved up there.  I never saw any 6 leg fawns.  I hate dogs that attack.  My two dogs are a Chow and a Shar Pei, they both were concidered fighting dogs in China.  They had been trained that its ok to bark at intruders but biting is not an option.  But having said that they are very protective if they think their owners are in danger.  I do have to admit that my dog want to chase the Rachoon (sp) that eat the bird food.

Thanks, Al. I feel easier using a few more words from other sources than AP, and try not to use any that have an AP icon either, indicating an AP source

Never seen a six-legged anything unless it was a bug. What this story makes you question is what kind of pollutions are going on around there to cause such a birth defect.

Dogs that chase deer, elk, or cattle in Colorado get shot or go to doggie jail. Not sure what the deal is in Louisiana.
