Unni Haskell, a 62 year old woman hits a hole-in-one on her first ever real course swing at a par-3 course in St. Petersburg. What may infuriate the avid golfer is that she does not know the significance to this accomplishment as she thought "all golfers do this."
"I didn't know it was that big of a deal,'' she said. "I thought all golfers do this.''
[...]"We were going to do a putting lesson that day,'' [teacher Rich] Sopka said. "She said, no, she wanted to play. She didn't even hit a range ball. No warmup at all.''
Beginners luck may be crucial in the game golf as Alex Ovechkin demonstrated his golfing prowess with a hole-in-one of his own couple years back. Ovechkin has never golfed in his life and with his teammates golf club, he landed a hole-in-one during a charity game.
