The Saginaw home that hit the housing market at a cut-rate price sold for less than the price of a McDonald's value meal.

The abandoned home on 1606 Perkins received eight bids on eBay.com and sold for $1.75 Wednesday evening.

Melanie Sochan | Saginaw News FileThis house at 1606 Perkins Street in Saginaw sold for $1.75 on ebay. Posted to the door is a notice of show cause hearing and judicial foreclosure hearing set for January 28, 2009. The notice also states there are back taxes owed on the property.

The high bidder was 30-year-old Joanne Smith, of Chicago, Ill.

"I am going to try and sell it," she said of the home. "I don't have any plans to move to Saginaw. I don't have any plans of moving from (Chicago)."

Back taxes and cleaup costs, $850, due by March 31, 2009. Total cost $851.75.

Don't need a mortgage for this, though it does look like it will need some renovating.

eBay has lots of houses listed on their Real Estate channel, many with no reserves.
