American Redneck Society: Redneck Rob Clayton Launches Community For Under Served Rednecks
It is an idea whose time as come and a proud American, a proud redneck, Rob Clayton, has decided to launch the American Redneck Society.
I really felt that American Rednecks are an under-served, but large population that could benefit from a formal membership organization structure," said American Redneck Society Executive Director, Rob Clayton.
For a minimal $20 membership fee – card-carrying Rednecks have access to thousands of discounts from retailers across the country. Additionally, 10 percent of every membership is donated to a Redneck Scholarship Fund that's aimed at expanding the educational opportunities available to rural youth.
"We're embracing the idea that the Redneck concept can be humorous," Clayton said. "But Rednecks are a group of Americans who share common characteristics and have common needs. This Society can embody those characteristics and help meet those needs."
The website for the American Redneck Society clearly is not taking itself too seriously after all they agree with most of the redneck community that firmly believes duct tape should be spelled duck tape.
