American Voting machines up against a crooked System

On Monday, Sept. 01 2008, Lynne Landes appeared on one of our local radio stations, WURD 900 AM, in Philadelphia, and gave a brief but poignent account of the American Voting Machines and the corrupt American voting system. She is the publisher of the LandesReport.com and a freelance reporter who writes about American politics.

Since 2002, Lynn has been  one of the nation's leading researchers and analysts on voting integrity issues.  She has been a speaker at voting rights conferences across the country.  Lynn was the first to advocate one standard of voting for both politicians and the public - totally transparent voting.  She is an opponent of voting machines, absentee/early voting, and the secret ballot.  In July 2004, Lynn filed the first federal lawsuit of its kind, suing local, state, federal authorities to ban the use of voting machines and absentee ballots.  She appealed the case to the U.S. Supreme Court, who let stand the lower court decision to deny her standing. In a 2005 article, Plan B: Organize Parallel Elections & Signed Ballots, Lynn called on citizens to organize parallel elections in response to the total lack of transparency in U.S. elections.  In several states, activists did just that.

Lynn's numerous articles on the right to vote, include: Elections In America - Assume Crooks Are In Control, Faking Democracy - Americans Don't Vote, Machines Do, Two Voting Companies & Two Brothers Will Count 80% of U.S. Election, and Did Networks Fake Exit Polls?  Her work has been featured in the books, Hacked and BlackBoxVoting.  Lynn also appears in several documentaries including: Got Democracy, The Right To Count, Stealing America, and her own, Voting 101 and The Fix Is In.

She documented a claim  that the American system for voting was corrupt from the beginning of Voting in the 1800's  and that all of the elections for high office are rigged even today. She even claimed that the exit polls on Election day were fraudulent and that any poll, analysis of a poll,  or vote is meaningless and that the American public is being duped by the media, by the newspapers and by the government. Her statements seem to confirm what many suspected in the last two presidential elections. She says there is absolutely no transparency in the election process.

The Hidden Campaign
Ohio Voting Machines Contained Programming Error That Dropped Votes

A voting system used in 34 states contains a critical programming error that can cause votes to be dropped while being electronically transferred from memory cards to a central tallying point, the manufacturer acknowledges.

The problem was identified after complaints from Ohio elections officials following the March primary there, but the logic error that is the root of the problem has been part of the software for 10 years, said Chris Riggall, a spokesman for Premier Election Solutions, formerly known as Diebold.

The flawed software is on both touch screen and optical scan voting machines made by Premier and the problem with vote counts is most likely to affect larger jurisdictions that feed many memory cards to a central counting database rapidly.

Congresswoman Brown Joins Colleagues in Requesting UN Oversight
of 2004 Elections

(Washington, DC) Congresswoman Corrine Brown made the following statement:

"I proudly join my colleagues, the following Members of Congress: Eddie Bernice Johnson, Julia Carson, Joseph Crowley, Elijah Cummings, Danny Davis, Raul Grijalva, Michael Honda, Carolyn Maloney and Jerrold Nadler, in requesting that the United Nations (UN) send election observers to our nation to monitor the November 2004 presidential elections.

Hasn't anybody formally requested having UN observers here for our upcoming November elections ?

I searched and searched for anything on this and found - NOTHING !

Weird ...
