This is the bizzarest story I've read all week.

The Amsterdam prostitutes trade union have made an apeal to visiting Scottish men, visiting the red light district for a soccer game on Saturday to pick homegrown Dutch prostitutes over Eastern Europe, Dominican Republic and Russian prostitutes.

Union spokeswoman Metje Blaak, speaking to the Scottish Sun newspaper said it's hard enough to make a living without the overseas prostitutes coming over.

She also added: “Things are difficult enough for Amsterdam’s prostitutes."

“Dutch girls are facing competition from girls coming here from Eastern Europe. They are also coming from the Dominican Republic and Russia."

"People in Amsterdam say the Scots are good people. I’ve seen them in town before, lifting their kilts and having a good time.”

“I think Scottish men would be better if they don’t drink too much before visiting the girls. After all, if you drink too much, you can’t have sex — that would be a waste of money.”

The credit cruch are effecting them too, she added “We are finding a lot of men do not have the money.”
