Andhra Pradesh Governer N.D.Tiwari Sex Scandal

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Governer N.D. Tiwari continuance as Andhra Pradesh Governor appears to have become untenable with indications that the 86-year-old leader may be asked to go in the wake of a sting operation that purportedly showed him in a compromising position with three women. The Centre has asked for a report from the state government and knowledgeable sources here said that he may be asked to quit the post following severe embarrassment to the Congress party. After the sting operation was telecast yesterday by the ABN Andhra Jyothi channel, the Raj Bhavan approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court and got a restraint order on the channel from telecasting the footage.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has restrained a television news channel from telecasting a news story showing visuals of an elderly person, who was alleged to be Governor Narayan Dutt Tiwari, in a compromising position with three women in the Raj Bhavan.Before police could serve the High Court’s order, ABN channel aired the programme in which explicit scenes were telecast. It stopped repeat telecast of the visuals but continued interviews and panel discussions about the Governor’s conduct. A legal notice was served on the channel by the Governor’s counsel stating that this constituted flagrant violation of the earlier order.
Narayan Dutt Tiwari is an Indian politician. He is the present Governor of Andhra Pradesh, and has previously remained Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarkhand. He is a member of the Indian National Congress. He was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1976 - 1977, 1984 - 1985, 1988 - 1989 and Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in 2002–2007.
