Andy House Drives 2006 Bugatti Veyron Into Lake (Video)
Andy House, the owner of a 2006 Bugatti Veyron, which is a million-dollar sports car, drove it into a lake. Apparently he was distracted by a low-flying pelican. The aftermath of the Bugatti Veyron crash was captured on video. The Bugatti Veyron specs are impressive: 1001hp, 922 lb-ft of torque at 2200RPM. The Bugatti Veyron's top speed is over 250mph... and it better be fast, with a base price of $1.4 million. Only 200 were made, and there are 15 Bugatti Veyrons in the USA, one of which has some water damage.
However, as Andy House found out, the Bugatti Veyron has no submarine capabilities.
According to reports the driver left the engine running and the door wide open after getting out of his vehicle. The engine ran for 15 minutes before the car fully submerged.
That must have been some pelican. If you're wondering if a mobile phone was involved, the answer is "yes". I really want to know how fast he was going. When you're driving a million-dollar European sports car, surely whoever's calling can just go to voicemail?
The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cell phone, and the car’s front tire left the frontage road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon.
Andy House, who owns Performance Auto Sales, which restores wrecked luxury cars (don't even say it), has been getting quite a few phone calls, to the extent that he has stopped answering his phone.
This is not the first time a Bugatti has ended up in a lake.
For x-tra schadenfreude, here's a video of another Bugatti crash, with some weird Lord of the Rings music.

The rear spoiler deploys at something like 125-130 mph. So, yeah, he was moving rather smartly.
All that high dollar leather is ruint. and his insurance company will want to say they don't cover water damage ;)

Hmmm, we thinks the owner of such a fine automobile should be rooted, shooted and electrocuted for destroying this work of mechanical perfection....

haha well it was probably his wife & that's why she couldnt go to VM... since she is a very insanely jealous woman... he had to answer... & of course she has a right to be because he tends to wonder at times... but she knew & she married him anyway, after all that is how they met.
