After a meeting with Pope Benedict in Vatican City Abuna Paulos of Ethopia confirmed that the fabled Ark of the Covenant did exist and was being kept in a Church in his homeland. Paulos announced that the Ark of the Covenant would be revealed to the public on Friday, June 26, 2009.  Despite this announcement the Ark has not yet been produced.

See, they say that the Ark of the Covenant will be revealed today, Friday. Now you make think that it's still Friday, so there's still time, right? Well, over in Ethiopia there's only a couple of hours of Friday left, those darn time zones again. And if they ain't gonna do it before nightfall, my guess is that they're not gonna do it at all.

Opening The Ark - (Disney Crossover)

The Ark of the Covenant is an important Biblical artifact and the revelation that it would be shared with the world was met with excitement and anticipation.  The Ark has long been rumored to be in Ethiopia but its last public appearance was in ancient times long before the birth of Jesus Christ.

Made famous in pop culture by Steven Spielberg as the focus of the first Indiana Jones movie, the Ark of the Covenant has remained a source of intrigue and controversy.

Biblical mythology states that the Ark holds the remains of the original 10 Commandments tablets but conspiracy theorists have linked it to everything from the beginning of the apocalypse to proof of alien intervention in human history.

Abuna Pauolos is in Vatican City this week, meeting with Pope Benedict XVI. It is from this holy city that Pauolos confirmed the Ark of the Covenant’s presence in Ethiopia, and that he will be announcing its unveiling this Friday: “Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for centuries.”

Today, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church boasts that it sits under lock and key in the Chapel of the Tablet, near the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion. It is only used occasionally in ritual processions, but almost no one has seen it, let alone gotten photographic evidence.

Said Pauolos, “The Ark of the Covenant is in Ethiopia for many centuries. As a patriarch I have seen it with my own eyes and only few highly qualified persons could do the same, until now.”

The Patriarch's announcement confirms the long-standing rumour that the Ark is, in fact, in Axum.  But I understand from an Italian news source that it was NOT produced on Friday as originally announced.

I seriously doubt that the Patriarch would lie.  Either the Ark is in Axum and is the genuine article, or the Ethiopian Orthodox church is laboring under a misapprehension.  My own thought is that, like the Shroud of Turin, this is going to be one of those religious artifacts that can be real or not, depending on the faith of the individual.

If it produces or increases faith, I support it.  Let's see what the next few days bring about.

There is no update to the unveiling of the supposed Ark from the time of Moses, and there may never be. Someone at the Ethiopian Orthodox Church made big mistake, or participated in a big sham – as in "a false show of something".

I will be surprised if the Ethiopian church officials unveils anything except, perhaps, more false promises and execuses. The way I see it, as long as the church keeps the mystique of the Ark aflame it has something that attracts attention and can be used to raise funds. If they show the supposed "Ark" and experts denounce it as a fraud, the mystique carefully cultivated over the decades and centuries vanishes – and so do the funds and worldwide attention. Putting it plainly, showing ithe "Ark" is not competible with telling the truth.

I don't know where the Ark is located, but my website, King Solomon's Astonishing Temple Secrets provides two articles that anyone may read
and which explain what the Ark actually is. These are new, eye-opening and may suggest something about its possible location.

I think people are mistaken to believe that the Ark can just come out and be on display to the world at large. It rarely came out when it was amongst the people of Israel due to its divine nature. I found it a little strange that people who have said to have discovered the Ark place it in some isolated spot whereas even the bible showed the level of human contact and interaction with my Lady of Zion. For example Eli and the philistines learnt the hard way when she was left in their Dagon temple unsupervised. The danger of the annoucement from the abuna is that it may be an indication of bigger things to come in align to Ps Ethiopia shall stretch forth her hand unto God and be received, that is deliver the power back to God of which the Ark is custodial of that power. This is evident in Rev 11v 18 shall take back his power and reign, etc, and Rv 11v19 showing the Ark in the heavenly temple, therefore as above so below. It is interesting to see the doubt of about Ethiopia(cush) claim as unfounded, when the bible show moses married to an ethiopian woman and the words of amos are ye not like the children of the Ethiopian unto me or children of Israel. Christ made reference the queen of the south Luke 11v31which is it argued refer to the queen of saba and the fact that Canaan is family to cush whose founder is Ham. However, to state it is a lie, when the KN highlight Michael Archangel involvement in her move to ethiopia would be equal to the fraud of Pope Pius xii claim making Michael the patron of Policemen when, though he is for law and order, hates instruments of oppression to strangers and enslavers in their lands. However, the abuna's declaration could have a greater significant and that is the beloved, the secret name of our Lord amongst prophet, might himself be due to be revealed by coming like a thief in the night.
