Asher Stewardson is a Big Baby: 13 lb, 12 Oz

Asher Stewardson, born to Kendall and Joshua Stewardson on January 26, 2012, is the biggest baby ever delivered naturally at Des Moines, Iowas's Mercy Medical Center. Asher's birth weight: 13 pounds, 12 ounces (6.2kg).

Kendall Stewardson was in labor for an eye-watering six hours without surgery or pain-killers. Asher Stewardson is 23 1/2 inches (59.7cm)

Judah Stewardson, Asher's older brother, weighed in at 12 pounds when he was born just over a year ago. It is very rare for babies to be born weighing more than 11 pounds, never mind weighing almost 14 pounds.

Kendall’s husband, Joshua says, “And just to have two that had absolutely no issues, we`re definitely very blessed that way.”

Kendall says it was all worth it for their new little wonder. “And he`s really sweet, so we got a good package at the end of it, too.”

According to the national council of health statistics, only 1 in 1000 newborns weighs more than 11 pounds.
