Attack bird seen tossing baby goat off cliff
This is an interesting and informative story about the golden eagle and the way it captures it's prey. You should check out the video at the end of the post because it actually shows a massive bird flying by the camera man holding a goat by the head enroute to it's nest.
The world today can produce some pretty scary things and what might be scary to one person might not have the same type of influence on someone else. This post is about that contrast.
Did you know that there is what I call an "attack bird' out there that grabs small goats and tosses them off steep cliffs to kill and eat them? As you'll see in the video, no one is more scared than the parents as they watch there offspring get muscled off the side of a cliff. Keep in mind that these birds that are known as the Golden Eagle live all around the globe and while it's not very likely, a small toddler weighs about the same as a young goat...and in this world, eventually everything becomes possible.
The Golden Eagle is known as a bird of prey and can grow quite large especially the females as they are always bigger than the males. The average wingspan is about 7 feet and the bird standing up averages about 3 feet, and that's just the average specs, not the biggest.
The Golden Eagle caught my attention because of it's diet. Many small animals fall victim when this attack bird is hungry.A hungry Golden Eagle will eat...
- mice
- rats
- birds
- hawks
- owls
But when they're really hungry they'll eat...
- foxes
- wolverines
- young deer
- lambs
- goats
The way these attack birds hunt is interesting. They have very powerful eyes which allow them to see prey from very far away. Their weapon of choice is usually their long sharp talons that have no problem cutting and tearing their prey apart. There are times when the Golden Eagle will use some type of tactics to hunt down their prey.
The male and female have even been known to work as a team by the male bird driving or luring their prey into the direction of the awaiting female, or as you'll see in the video below, tossing them off cliffs.![]()

Thank you JD, JAYR, Barry, and Rhonda,
What inspired me to create this interesting stuff is kind of ridiculous . I'm being bullied by a bird myself. There's this bird that lives in a few trees around my house. One day this bird tried dive bombing me as I was getting into my car. Now a day hasn't gone by where that stupid bird hasn't tried starting something with me.
If I go out on the back porch to read, it circles above me like a vulcher does when waiting for something to die, if I go out to get the mail it does the same thing. The bird is so loud it's like there is a third person in my conversations. Taking the dog for a walk is no different, and it doesn't matter how far I go because he follows and goes crazy the whole time ( out of range from a rock ).
Sounds funny, but it get's old when people come over and say, "What's up with that bird man?".

I dunno, if I were you I would buy a cat and when the bird swoops down on you, take the cat and throw it into the air at the bird. I am sure the other birds will ask, Hey, What's the Deal with that Guy and his flying Cat? Serves them right. hahaha

This is the honest truth.....
We have a house cat with big blue eyes that hunts birds by climbing in the tree and sitting for hours ambushing them. Besides, cats are rulers of the under world.
Recently there has been a number of wild cats due to the massive amount of home foreclosures Las Vegas has experienced. A few doors down the owners just left and the house was vacant. Cats were becoming many cats very quickly so I went down to the human society and borrowed their traps. In a 2 day period we caught 10 cats and took them to where I had got the traps from. They fix the animals for free and release them exactly where they came from. So yes, there are a plenty of cats around.

What a shame about the Cats. And as you say Cats rule pretty much everything, why? cause they're cats and we let them. ahaha

In the ancient Egyptian religion, cats were known as the Guardians of the Underworld.
There's even foolish rumors that the cat has to follow certain rules to remain rulers or guardians. Here's a few cached (because page not found) examples of them.
