Sacramento, CA | Late Sunday evening a woman is struck by a vehicle and left in critical condition.

Just minutes after authorities are notified of a woman being a traffic hazard in the area of Valley Hi Drive and Meadow Park Way, a call comes in for a vehicle vs pedestrian.

Per SacPD, detectives were notified but not called out regarding the auto vs ped incident in the event the incident becomes fatal. The victim was transported to Kaiser South Hospital in critical condition. SacPD stated early Monday morning that the status of victim is still pending.

According to on scene witnesses, who wished to remain anonymous, a woman had been walking in and out of the street in the area when she was struck by a vehicle. With the front windshield shattered and caved in, the vehicle remained in place as officers investigated the incident.
