Police are hunting the leader of the Banana Sex Cult in Papua New Guinea. The sex cult leader promised villagers that their banana harvest would increase 10 fold every time they engage in public sex.

The man and his followers fled naked into the wilderness when police tried to arrest them over the weekend.

The cult leader was wanted for alleged offenses over the past 4 months, including threatening and illegal sexual activity. The leader fled with 7 naked followers when police surrounded the man's hut.

Police said "he used his two wives as a human shield to avoid being shot at by the policemen."

It said the villagers in Morobe province, about 120 miles north of the capital Port Moresby, had been promised their banana harvest would increase 10-fold every time they had sex in public.

Be wary of someone who promise you something in exchange for public sex.

Part of this story makes me LOL, BUT.  The naked man "used his two wives as a human shield to avoid being shot at by the policemen."

Why would the police assume that a naked man was a danger to a group of them......I don't think he had a knife up his bum, nor was there any other weapon on his person I bet.

I have no idea. I think the police was trying to arrest the leader for other charges.

Of couse I was drawn in to read this story because of the word Bananna.  Like hymtist, villagers must have the willingness to particapate.  I assume bannas had little to do with the orgy that occued, other than resemnlence.
