Barbara Soper and her Husband Chad Have Three Children, All Born on Special Date Days

Her first daughter Chloe Corrin was born on August 8, 2008 (08-08-08), then her son Cameron Dane was born on September 9 2009 (09-09-09), and their latest bundle of joy, Cearra Nicole was born on October 10 of this year (10-10-10).

Not all their children were born on their due dates, but fate intervened to make sure the pattern continued, but this birth pattern may not be as rare as you think.

While the dates might seem "incredibly rare," they're really not. Such a lineup can only happen in the first 12 years of the century and at least 10 months apart, says Shannon McWeeney, a professor of biostatistics at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland.

Phillip Stark, a professor statistics at the University of California Berkeley, told USA Today that given that the first birth happened on 08-08-08, the probability that the next births may occur on similar patterned dates is not that unlikely. He said that the chances of this occurring is about 1 in 2,500, but admits humans like to look for patterns to make sense of stories such as this.

So will the Sopers try for baby number four on 11-11-11? They say three is their lucky number and they won't be expanding their family any further.
