Batmanning: the New Horsemaning

So, it looks like Batmanning is the new Horsemaning, which is the new Owling, which is the new Planking. Got that? Good.

Eschewing the gravelly voices for the exuberant old-sol theme song, four Purdue University students filmed themselves hanging by their feet from buildings, fences, statues, parking structures, and other immovable objects around campus. Note that, if you fail a Batmanning attempt, you fall head-first to the ground. Just so you know.

The four "original Batmanners" are trying to make Batmanning happen*: who knows, maybe they'll be successful. Of all the recent posturing crazes (all manufactured in some way or other), this one looks the most inherently-dangerous. It logically follows that lots of people will try to imitate it. At your own risk, etc.

We're including some Batmanning videos below, including a few Battmanning fails. This looks most dangerous when attempted drunk and/or stoned, which is precisely the state you'd have to be in to attempt it in the first place. That's what's called a Catch-22.

(* unlike "fetch", which is just not going to happen)
