Biggest Black Hole Discovered

Scientists have discovered the biggest black hole on record in the nearby galaxy M87 – one of the first galaxies believed to harbor a black hole.

Using a new measuring system, researchers have found the black hole is two to three times heftier than previously thought – and 6.4 billion times bigger than the mass of the sun.

Researchers say the finding implies how black holes relate to galaxies, and as a resut, impact theories on how galaxies are formed.
