Bitsy the cat could be the world's smallest cat, weighing only 1.5 pounds, and only 6 inches tall and 18 and 3/4 inches long. She is one-year-old, and now her owner, Auriette Lindsey from Pensacola, has asked the Guinness Book of World Records to make it official and give Bitsy the title of the World's Smallest Cat.
"It all has to be done very officially. They wanna see video; they wanna see pictures of the measuring to make sure it was all done correctly," Lindsey told WEAR-TV. She said the current world's tiniest cat lives in Louisiana and weighs three pounds. While Bitsy is half that weight, she is a bit longer than the record holder, Lindsey said.
