'Boobquake' Blogger Jen McCreight Debunks Iranian Cleric's Sermon

Jennifer McCreight, a 20-year-old college student in Indiana, has challenged Iranian cleric Hojatoleslam Kazim Sadeghi's claim that provocatively-dressed women cause earthquakes... by starting "Boobquake".

This claim is very easily disproved, McCreight asserts, by getting a bunch of women to dress more "immodestly" than normal on April 26, and simply record the unusual seismic activity for the day. Obviously, this is meant to make fun of Hojatoleslam Kazim Sadeghi's bizarre statements, rather than provide a legitimate seismic study.

Sadeghi, who took over Friday prayers for Ayatolla Khamenei, told his followers "When promiscuity spreads, earthquakes increase". Sadeghi is not the first religious fundamentalist to blame earthquakes on something totally unrelated to tectonic plate activity, as American television evangelist Pat Robertson blamed the Haiti earthquake on "a deal with the devil" that Hatians made in exchange for freedom

Jennifer McCreight called the experiment "Boobquake", and invited anyone who wanted to participate to do so, and blog or tweet their involvement, using the #boobquake hashtag on Twitter.

So far, no statistically significant changes in world earthquake patterns.

On Monday, April 26th, I will wear the most cleavage-showing shirt I own. Yes, the one usually reserved for a night on the town. I encourage other female skeptics to join me and embrace the supposed supernatural power of their breasts. Or short shorts, if that's your preferred form of immodesty. With the power of our scandalous bodies combined, we should surely produce an earthquake. If not, I'm sure Sedighi can come up with a rational explanation for why the ground didn't rumble.
“It’s not supposed to be serious activism that is going to revolutionize women’s rights, but just a bit of fun juvenile humor,” she wrote. “I’m a firm believer that when someone says something so stupid and hateful, serious discourse isn't going to accomplish anything - sometimes light-hearted mockery is worthwhile.”

You are ignoring the Taiwan earthquake, LOL.  Sure, most sites mention it then quote her (using quotation marks) about the supposedly "statistically insignificant" aspect.  Why not tell the full story? Would it compromise you attempt to confidently assert that she "debunked" him? It reminds me of Mohammedan censorship and spin.
