Brain Operation Makes Boy Posh

Brain Brain

A boy who was suffering form meningitis discovered he had a new posh accent completely different to his own after coming out of surgery I can reveal.

William McCartney-Moore, 10, from Heworth, York, was struck down with a rare strain of the disease in March last year 2007.

The surgery was to remove an empyaema, which is pus on the brain and he awoke to discover he had an accent more like a posh states person in stead of his northern tone.
His mother Ruth told the York Press: 'He survived the operation and the most amazing thing is that he came out of surgery with a completely different accent.'
