G20 protest at police headquarters in Toronto, Ontario

A peaceful gathering of protesters that began roughly at 05:30 pm EDT outside of the Toronto Police Headquarters  is now on the move westbound along College Street.  The protest has now gathered at Nathan Philip`s square or New City Hall this is happening now as we speak. This can be seen via cp24.com/ The reason for this post G20 Summit rally is with hopes of bringing to attention the poor conditions , police brutality and treatment some faced while detained.  Many feel that the 200 contained last night in the pouring rain as well as those detained in the temporary facility are violations of Human Rights.  Many female detainees stated they were not offered water, toilet paper or even privacy to use the bathroom.  Some other complaints were no beds, no phone calls and no medical treatment when needed and police intimidation.  Also some detainees are still accounted for in what is now being called Torontonamo Bay in comparison to Guantanamo Bay a prison Facility that houses suspected terrorists by the U.S.  This G20 Summit has raised many questions of the purpose and true need for this particular type of Globalization meetings in urban dwellings are they truly worth the costs .
