Won't kiss on the first date? How about waiting until marriage?
Melody LaLuz is (soon to be was) a 28-year-old virgin. And she has a lesson for you.
Saturday, LaLuz married fellow virgin, 30-year-old Claudaniel Fabien, and hopes to send a message that abstinence is cooler than in that Steve Carell movie. So cool, in fact, that the couple have become abstinence educators. (Perhaps a sequel plot?)
"Sex is worth the wait! We believe this and we live out what we teach---it's true that abstinence does work," said LaLuz and Fabien.
LaLuz decided at 16 that she was going to wait for sex until her wedding day. The couple says in a time where casual sex is the norm, their message has inspired thousands of young people to wait too.
But Saturday, all bets were off as the nearly 500 guests watched the first kiss between LaLuz and Fabien - all nearly two minutes of it.
The couple is off to the Bahamas for their honeymoon. We assume they won't kiss and tell about the rest of their trip.

I love that there are some positive articles about this story! CD and Melody are good friends of mine and deserve props for their self control, but at the same time I know they would not want any untruths being printed about them. Melody was a virgin, but CD was a "secondary virgin," and speaks publically about that. They have not mislead anyone about that fact, and as far as I am concerned it only makes the fact that they did not kiss until their wedding day even MORE significant! AND their first kiss was passionate, beautiful, and exciting, but it was not 2 minutes long (the cheers lasted that long though). It's crazy how the media gets so many details wrong and then prints it everywhere. However, the length of the kiss should not determine the value of the kiss, and in this case, it was priceless. Congrats CD and Melo, you are very loved. :)
