Brothel Offers Twitter Discount
It probably seemed like a good idea for a British business to offer discounts via Twitter, but, if that business is prostitution, perhaps the totally-public nature of the popular microblogging service is disadvantageous, particularly where prostitution is illegal. A brothel in Milton Keynes, England has done just that: advertising via Twitter. (This link is safe for work)
While the Guardian's own headline suggests that the House of Divine is somehow a Twitter brothel, this does not actually seem to be the case- just a matter of an established business experimenting with new media to bring in more customers.
House of Divine in glamorous Milton Keynes tweeted to say that Lucia and Karol were working on Sunday while another message offered a "Twitter Discount".
Since any Twitter user can see who is following an account, this is hardly private. An email circular would provide a more useful and more confidential information network.
Do you really want to follow your local prostitutes on Twitter? I mean, it may be more interesting than typical workplace tweets, but it'd get creepy rather quickly.

Sounds pretty bizarre, but change is the name of the game. Innovativeness is the new life!
