Bungee Jump Gone Bad: Bungee Jump Accident In Thailand

British tourist Rishi Baveja had the ride of his during a recent trip to Thailand. The 21-year-old student was attempting his first-ever bungee jump when the cord attached to his ankles broke and he fell into the water below. Baveja's bungee jump gone bad caused him to fall 165-feet at a speed of around 80 mph. Miraculously, Baveja survived the fall.

Bajeva believes that he survived because he landed on his chest.

"All the doctors were staggered that I lived," he told the Daily Mail. "I'm very lucky. If I had landed head first I would be brain damaged or dead."

That's not to say that Rishi Baveja survived his bungee jump gone bad without a scratch. Baveja suffered a ruptured spleen, torn liver, collapsed lungs and massive bruising. He had to have his spleen removed at a hospital in Bangkok.

Baveja says he doesn't plan to sue the bungee jump company in Phuket. Instead, he wants to focus on just how fortunate he is to be alive.

Here is the Bungee Jump Gone Bad video.
