Looks like President George W. Bush might make an appearance in the U.S.-China basketball game at the Olympics this year. On Wednesday, the US President asked Chinese President Hi Jintao for tickets after meeting with him at the G8 Conference in Tokyo.

"I'm really looking forward to watching the American Olympic team compete, particularly with the mighty Chinese team," he said after meeting Hu on the sidelines of the Group of Eight summit in Japan.

"I'm hoping to get tickets for the US-Chinese basketball game," Bush said. "If you can help me get a ticket I'd appreciate it," he joked.

Bush had previously rejected human rights activists' idea of boycotting the opening ceremonies. Bush is looking forward to attending the Beijing Games with his wife, father, former President George H.W. Bush, and mother.

Bush said he had spoken with Hu about human rights and political freedoms. "I don't need the Olympics to talk candidly with somebody who I've got good relations with."

Hu said he appreciated Bush's opposition to politicizing the Olympics.

I know he's not the greatest president, but some of the things he says is quite funny. That being said, maybe that's why hes not a good president.

He is just one classic quote away from being voted out for good!
