Cameron Leslie: Oslo Bombing Eyewitness Continues Bench-Pressing
Oslo Bombing Eyewitness: 'Naturally, I finished My Set' (Video)
New Zealand expat Cameron Leslie was only 50 meters from the Oslo bomb attack carried out by Anders Behring Breivik on July 22. In a televised interview with TV3 News, Leslie wants viewers to know two things:
- He's a proud Kiwi (note the Maui Hook necklace)
- How much he can bench press: 165kg
Hey, that's 363 lbs: no joke. Still, Cameron Leslie came off as (how do I say this nicely) a bit of a tool. When describing the moment after being shaken by an explosion that would change Norway forever, Leslie said, "Naturally, I finished my set". Meanwhile, the ceiling was collapsing and gym patrons were being told to evacuate.
Cameron Leslie has achieved Meme Fame, and even has his very own Twitter parody account. That's when you know you've arrived, even when the parody account in question isn't all that funny (sorry).
Seriously, Leslie could have been seriously injured or killed had he left for the gym 20 minutes later than he did. We're glad Cameron Leslie is alive... so now we can go ahead and make fun of him on the Internet. Did anyone confirm that 165kg, by the way?
