Catherine Becker has been arrested for allegedly drugging her husband, cutting off his penis and throwing it into a garbage disposal.

Police in Garden Grove, California responded to a call on Monday, July 11, 20111,  and found a man bleeding from his crotch area.

The man's wife, Catherine Becker, reportedly put a foreign substance in his food in an attempt to drug or poison him. When the man fell asleep, Becker cut off his penis with a knife, tossed it into a garbage disposal and turned it on, according to authorities.

The victim underwent emergency surgery at Irvine's UCI Medical Center and is in serious condition.

Catherine Becker has been charged with aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse.  

The story of Catherine Becker will no doubt remind many people of Lorena Bobbitt, a Virginia woman who angrily cut off the penis of husband John Wayne Bobbitt back in 1993. The story became a media sensation with John Bobbitt even starring in porn films.
