48-year-old Christos Constantinou was mistaken for an animal and shot dead by other hunters while on a hunting trip. The Greek man was reportedly wearing the animal hide of a goat that caused a separate group of hunters to mistake him for an animal.

As Constantinou was sneaking through some undergrowth in the forest, he crossed paths with the other hunting group. They open fired, and Constantinou was killed..

Police said members of a shooting party made up of families opened fire when Christos Constantinou, 49, moved through the undergrowth.

Constantinou was wearing dark goat skin hides that are worn for camouflage purposes and for misleading other animals in the woods. Now there is reason to reconsider the use of animal hides as camouflage if it becomes this easy for man to be mistaken for game

An investigation is currently underway in the Greek town of Nemea, Chalkidiki. Two unidentified suspects from the other hunting party, aged 25 and 28, have been detained for questioning as suspects. Constantinou was transported to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
