Chuck Schumers Office Appoints private citizen to US Senator
Yesterday I received the surprise of my life when I opened up an email addressed to me by US Senator Chuck Schumers office. A letter I had written to the Senator regarding the Healthcare plan seemed to garner favorable notice by Chuck. In this return email I was addressed as "Senator Anderson". I'm certain it was generated with a mail merge function in MS Word by some young staffer in Washington. Imagine my surprise. Now what if, for example, all the emails sent that day with the erroneous salutation had actually contained as yet unreleased Government documents? Could the salutation of "Senator" trigger the passing out of high security information to thousands of his constituents?
Some well paid staffer in his office still has their job and still gets to make such mistakes. This is but symptomatic of the levels of incompetence in the public and private sector. With corporations and governments laying off millions who's left to do the work? No doubt it is people such as this individual. But the greater blame falls upon Senator Schumer. Does he even bother to proofread these automatic generic replies sent to constituents in response to their concerns about the issues of the day? I could work for you Senator Schumer and do a much better job of making you look good. That is what it's about isn't it?
