A Coast Guard crew and drug interdiction agents based in San Diego recovered 137 bales of marijuana when smugglers aboard a speedboat jettisoned the contraband and fled toward Mexico.

Hey good story! This is one of the Coast Guards biggest busts! And though the marijuana was handed over to the San Diego Narcotics Task Force, it was confiscated off the coast of Baja California, just south of San Diego.
Lieutenant Ensley, the official in charge of the bust, joked, "It was a huge bust. My whole crew is joking that we're the reason a dime bag is now being called a quarter bag."
I find this mean and hilarious all at the same time!
