A police offiver in London left his loaded gun in a Starbucks, and is now facing disciplinary procedures for the incident.

A specialist armed police officer is facing investigation after leaving a loaded gun in a Starbucks cafe in central London, police said on Thursday.

The unnamed officer, who the Sun newspaper said provided personal protection for Middle East peace envoy Tony Blair, forgot the weapon after she visited the coffee house last week.

"A police issue firearm was left unattended in a central London cafe on Friday evening and was found by a member of the public," a Metropolitan Police (MPS) spokeswoman said.

Lucky it was not little Johnny that fund it and tried it out on the play ground.

Dave Keating, I like this story. It's good stuff. Someone aint too bright, sort of reminds me of another report of an officer when in show and tell in a grade school classroom, took out his unloaded side arm and let the 8 year old boys hold it and pass it around the class
