A clear cut example of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Watch as this police officer from Seattle, Washington shoves a young man into a wall with such force the youngman has been in a coma since. The police officer claims it was a case of mistaken idenitity. In any case this situation is one that got out of hand quickly and extremely dangerously. I see this more and more world wide cops are using extreme force when it's not needed. My thought are with the yongman and his family.

The cop is obviously an asshole. He should be charged. It's what I call Barney Fife Syndrome on Steroids. Big tough guy. And the asshole superior defending the cop also should be liable. Hope the guy comes out of it. Hope that cop never has another good night's sleep but something tells me when your lucky if your IQ doesn't crack 90, retrospect isn't someplace where you spend a lot of time.

How awful - now this cop has just messed up two lives, not to mention those of both family members as well.

This is what happens in fascist societies. It's interesting that the cop claims it was a case of mistaken identity, implying that if the person had actually been who he thought it was, then his actions would have been justified and putting someone in a coma would have been all right.

After watching the vid, the cop probably contributed to further injury by yanking the poor guy around. Brutal behavior, this could happen to anyone.

Wow. The cop pushed him down so hard.

Don't worry. The officer will be fine - vacation w/ pay, probably.

the more brutality I see from these people the more it turns my stomach. There is always a supervisor to make excuses for what we all know is is inexcusable.I suppose we'll be asked to look the other way because he has job stress. Well! If you can't handle the stress it's not the job for you, give it up to someone with some self control. We as a public should demand this behavior stop.I for one laugh when I get calls asking me to donate to police organizations. Are they serious? I might as well give my money to the crooks as the cops are worse.

I will pray for both the young man in a coma and the police officer.
I don't know enough facts to judge if the officer should be punished or not. Obviously he didn't know the young man would hit the wall as he did so there was no intention of hurting him as he was hurt but unless there was real cause to use physical force to stop this person then the officer misused his authority.

Terrible and of course the policeman should be punish. However there are good and bad policemen and of course the anti-anti brigade will have a hay day blaming all police officers and using the term fascists in the most venomous way.
