Couple to marry at 12:34:56 on 07/08/09
A couple, Katie Barfoot and Troy Peters, are set to marry with their ceremony coinciding with a date and time reading 12:34:56 on 07/08/09. Miss Barfoot, 26, and Mr Peters, 27, will exchange vows as the clock passes the fifty-sixth second of the thirty-fourth minute of the twelfth hour on the seventh day of the eight month in the ninth year of this century.
The next time the numbers read one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine will be on August 7 3009.
Miss Barfoot, a mother-of-two, said she had no idea of the significance of the date when she booked the ceremony at Orton Hall Hotel in Orton Longueville, Peterborough.
"When we were booking the wedding day, I knew it would have to be during the school holidays so we could take the children on the honeymoon," she said.
"I wanted it to be an easy date for Troy to remember so he wouldn't forget our anniversary in years to come. It was only recently that we started getting these chain text messages saying Friday was a particularly special day because the time and date will read 123456789.
"We thought nothing of it until someone pointed out that we are getting married at 12.30pm, so the numerical wonder will take place during our wedding.
"We have looked on the Internet and they say it won't happen again for another 1,000 years, so that is pretty special."
The couple, both from Orton Longueville, met nine-and-a-half years ago on Valetine's Day. Their two sons Connor, six, and Louis, four, will be page boys at the lavish lunchtime ceremony before the family head off to Majorca for a honeymoon.
