A 17-year-old girl was found hanging from a noose at Creepyworld, a haunted-house attraction in Fenton, Missouri.

The young woman, who worked as an actor at Creepyworld, was unconscious but alive when she was found, and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The haunted house was open for business when the girl was found: customers may have walked by her and thought that what they were seeing was part of the show.

Police are currently treating the hanging as a tragic accident, and the young woman was last reported to be in critical condition.

Creepyworld is a complex of seven haunted houses, billed as the largest in America.
