Dad Runs Over Campers: SUV Hits Wife, Toddlers, Asleep in Tent
It was probably the strangest call police in the Muskegon area have ever received, "dad runs over campers." A family of four had been camping in a park at 6585 Lake Harbor, Norton Shores, Michigan, when the dad went to warm up a SUV and fell asleep at the wheel. The SUV somehow started to move, running over the wife and two toddlers asleep in a tent.
The wife and two toddlers, a boy and girl under 3, were injured, and one child had to be airlifted to Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. There is no word on the injuries sustained by the second child and the wife is said to be fine.
A woman staying at the closest nearby campsite said she could not sleep early Wednesday morning before the incident. She heard the motor of the family's vehicle running but thought nothing of it because the family had been running the Ford Explorer other nights to shine headlights on the site, recharge the battery and use the heat.
Then the woman heard the crash of the tent coming down as the SUV ran over it. She heard the father screaming, "Oh my God! Who did I hit?"
She grabbed her shoes and cell phone and ran to the campsite. The woman, who asked not to be identified, called 911 for the family.
Another nearby camper, Cindy Kaczmarczyk, said she heard a noise, followed by yells and a child crying. However, she said it sounded like a "domestic issue."

Thats just like Daniel to try and make people feel sorry for him. The truth of the matter is yes, he did do a tour in Iraq and I don’t take that away from him. But when he went in the second time he was stationed at Fort Stewart military reservation in Georgia. He got a dishonorable discharge for being a wall. In fact at the same time, they got there children taken away because when they were leaving there trailer, they forgot there baby (Jasmine) inside and didn’t realize until they got into town that she was not in the truck. On the way back to pick here up his Sergeant saw him and pursued after him only wanting the military equipment that he had in the back of the truck. (This was valued at about $50,000.)The Sergeant stopped chasing them and went to the trailer and called the authorities. When the authorities opened his door to the trailer, they found the baby in the car seat in the living room. These people are not fit to be parents. The children need to go back to the grandmother (Myra Frank) by the way; really she’s the one who has been taking care of the kids for the last 2 &1/2 years anyhow! So don’t fall for this sad story that he doesn’t have a job and no place to stay because the guy has already had plenty of opportunities to be a responsible parent and has screwed up every one of them. The only real thing he’s got is excuses. And those are like but holes. Everybody's got one. Let’s hope the state of Michigan will do the right thing for the children s sake and give them back to the Grandmother, Myra Frank.

First of all, it's AWOL. Why in the world did you even put up this smear comment for? Thank God no one is dead. I am praying for the child who was airlifted out of the scene.
As for you, RainGo, Your spouting off is just a ridiculous rant. You obviously have a personal grudge against the family. Your comments are unconscienable, and so is your grammar. If you are going to make such accusations against someone, at least use proper English!

Ok...first of all, where is your concern for the child that was airlifted?!?!? Secondly, I beleive this is slander! You can not run people's names through the dirt and give out personal information! The man served his country, went to war, and very honestly should have been given a medical discharge for the brain damage LONG before he went AWOL! Shame on you for throwing dirt on the family at a time like this and shame on the government for not helping this family out! Regardless, he needs help for the stress and sights he endured during war. I can't even imagine the images he must have seen or the pain and stress that he had to endure. My prayers are with the little guy who was hurt and the family who has more added stress.
