The myth of the founding of the Kagyu Buddhist religion of Tibet is that Tibetans were assailed by evil sorcerer neighbors around 900 AD.. They appealed to Padmasambhava,an Indian, to help them. He spent nine years with the nine sisters and came back and taught the Tibetans telepathy.That is the myth.The Kagyu wear maroon robes, and not the yellow robes of the Gelupa, who marry but Wikipedia says the Dalai Lama's sect is the Gelupa, or yellow hats.The Dalai Lama can see into other minds. He can pick out memories. He can create a variety of bodily sensations and project a voice or letters.This is also called Tantric Yoga, implying there were Hindu adepts as well as the Buddhist ones,hinduism of course preceding Buddhism.Telepathy is not discussed directly in Buddhist literature, but by implication as well as in their visual art.Varydara means telepathy. The Dalai Lama wrote a book about stainlessness and never said he meant chastity. In Tantric sex physical contact is not accomplished;the people feel something in their imagination if they concentrate.
